Q: My spouse (or traveling companion) doesn't dance, will they enjoy the dance and cruise ship activities?

A: Absolutely! Royal Carribbean Liberty of Seas is a grand ship with something for everyone! Check out their website at and find the section for Liberty of the Seas – you’ll find spas, casinos, pools, clubs, shopping, fitness centers, lots of restaurants, shows, performances, club dancing and activities for all ages, every day.

Q: I've never been on a cruise before, why would this cruise be a good first choice?

A: Whether you are a new or advanced west coast or swing dancer, or even just a spectator, the Second Annual WCS Champions At Sea is the place to be December 2015! We’re setting a new standard in dance cruises and welcome you aboard to a refreshing, new experience!

Q: How many group classes will be offered and will there be classes for all levels of dancer?

A: There will be a total of up to 18 group classes offered --up to 6 different classes at each proficiency level – novice/beginning, intermediate and advanced.

Q: How do I pre-register for private lessons with one or more of the instructors and should I pay in-advance?

A: Our Pros will be teaching a very limited number of Private Lessons. Contact Robin Smith for details.

Q: Will the Champions at Sea TM Group Class Video Notebook be available in DVD format, and can I purchase this in advance?

A: Announcements about the Cruise Video will be forthcoming.

Q: What is the registration fee for entering the first-annual Champions at Sea Jack & Jill Competition? Can I preregister?

A: The cost to enter the Jack and Jill is $25 per dancer. You can pre-register right here online. Click Dance Program and choose the registration option from the drop down menu. Remember, if you book by June 1st your Jack and Jill entry is FREE! In addition if you joined us on the first 3 cruises your Jack and Jill registration will be also be free.

Q: Do I need to bring a dance partner on the cruise?

A: Dance partners are not required and we expect a good mix of leaders and followers. But, please tell all of your WCS dance friends about WCS Champions At Sea. Bring them all!

Q: Will there be dance performances by all of the professional wcs champions?

A: Yes! There will be Lead Follow Demo's by all of our Champions At Sea professional staff.

Q: Will the wcs pros be attending the social dances?

A: Yes! All of the instructors will be attending the social dances and available for dancing.

Q: Can I book the cruise through my own travel agent or directly myself?

A: No. All Bookings for WCS Champions at Sea must go through Laurie Salit at (786) 507-8239.

Q: Will there be dancing off-ship at all the various Caribbean ports?

A: You can expect dancers to dance anywhere they can – in the streets, in the restaurants, on the beaches! If anything is formally planned, we’ll let you know.

Q: What will the weather be like in early December in the Caribbean?

A: Always sunny and warm in the Carribbean! And December is well past Hurricane season. Our travel agent will let you know more about what to bring to make your trip enjoyable. There are also helpful notes on the cruiseline website

Q: Will there be a pre-launch west coast swing dance in Ft. Lauderdale, the night before we launch?

A: We are hoping to organize pre-launch dancing for all of our cruisers who come into Ft. Lauderdale the night before we launch. Details to be announced.

Q: What's so unique about the Independence of the Seas cruise ship? Why is this ship being called a swing dancer's haven?

A: Independence Of The Seas has an ice rink that converts to a competition size dance floor as well as numerous clubs throughout the ship. We will be utilizing all of these amenities for the Jack and Jill competition and our various dances and practice sessions.
